- Small jurisdiction politics can be effected by small minds. The police just might be doing the Mayor's bidding or following the tone he sets. The man's ethical bias is apparent, so of course he goes into hiding. Obviously, his comments show, he is already in over his head.

- Yes but if you add all the other non-Christians, you have twice as many people; about 2 billion Christians, 1.5 who believe in Islam, 1.5 who do not believe, 1 billion Hindu's, 500 million Buddhists, plus other religions. There are 176million or so Christians in the US, out of over 300 million.

- Prayer has been banned in the schools for decades, this is just another version. The Constitution guarantees freedom of religion and freedom from religion, you don't even have to pledge allegiance to the flag anymore in school.

It is the Pope's duty to speak out on matters pertaining to faith and morals. It is the world's fascination with filth and promiscuous sex which prompted the AIDS outbreak to begin with, so it is MORE unrealistic to be projecting the blame for this sorry state of affairs on to the Pope or the Church he represents. Moral outlaws are seeking to redefine marriage and sexuality. Condoms are not going to solve the AIDS epidemic. People need to exercise self-restraint and stop living sexually promiscuous lifestyles that ultimately lead to death. Only a completely immoral sexually depraved individual would attempt to justify the use of condoms or widespread immorality as a 'cure' to the AIDS epidemic. The homosexuals have been living and advocating this lifestyle for ages, and just look at how pitiable and unhappy they are in reality. Misery loves company. Parents have an obligation to bring their children up with a proper sense of morality - and THIS business about condoms, premarital sex and homosexual sex isn't it. Wake up, people! Decent people do not want to be dragged down into a degenerate morass advocated by sexual outlaws.
